Step-by-Step Investment Process (17 Steps)
1. Choose a Property Investment Strategy – Decide between buy-to-let (BTL), houses in multiple occupation (HMO), single houses, or flats.
2. Decide on a Management Approach – Choose whether to self-manage the property or use a letting agent.
3. Ensure Proof of Funds – Have your investment funds in your account for at least three months to satisfy proof-of-funds checks.
4. Select an Investment Location – Focus on areas with strong rental yields, capital growth, and demand. Prioritize locations near transport links, schools, and amenities.
5. Use Property Search Platforms – Download Rightmove and Zoopla, and set up search alerts based on your criteria.

12. Monitor Mortgage Progress – Stay in touch with your mortgage broker to ensure a smooth approval process.

14. Appoint an ILA Solicitor (if using a Ltd Company) – Required for independent legal advice when securing a mortgage through a company.

16. Agree on a Completion Date – Ensure the completion date aligns with your mortgage offer's validity period.
